Sisters Hope welcomes you to participate in our Poetic Self-Exercise—a meditative exploration of your inner poetic and sensory world.
Tuesday April 29 18.30—19.30 Free entrance (requires sign-up)
The Poetic Self exercise is a core exercise in Sisters Hope’s performance method that has been developed and refined since 2008. Sisters Hope understands the Poetic Self as inherent poetic potential. An inner landscape connected to our sensuous experience of the world, which is given special attention through The Poetic Self exercise. The Poetic Self exercise is a poetic guided meditation that takes place immersed in an atmospheric soundscape. By reconnecting ourselves to our inherent poetic state, the opportunity arises to reconnect with our surroundings in new ways.
We meet together in Palmehuset. The exercises are done in English. No prior knowledge or experience is required—just come as you are.
About Sisters Hope
Sisters Hope is a recognized and award-winning performance group that has inspired a new wave of performance art. Based on the manifesto ‘Sensuous Society’ (2008), they create immersive and interactive formats at the intersection of performance art, activism, research and education. Their performance universes contain a fundamental ambition to make the sensual and poetic accessible to as many people as possible – to ‘democratize the aesthetic,’ as they call it.
